Review: Beforever Addy

Hi! Recently my sister purchased a Beforever Addy. Then Maddie from Dolls On My Mind requested a review of an Addy, so I decided to do a review for her! You really should go check out Maddie’s blog, she has the most amazing photography!

On to the review!

Addy is such an awesome doll! I really didn’t like the Addy mold until my sister got her, and now I love it! It makes me want a #58 even more. ;D

Here she is! (The underwear is not hers.)

First up I’ll show you all her outfit. Addy comes wearing a dress, socks, boots, and 2 hair ribbons.

The dress is a very pretty blue color with black ribbon accents.

Here you can see a close up of the dress. It has a cool swirly flowery pattern.

The waistband has black ribbon on it.

At the shoulders on each side, there is a black bow. These are cute, but if I could choose they wouldn’t be there.

Addy also came with a pair of plain white socks. These are great quality, but I CAN NOT get the boots to cover them completely when she wears the socks and boots.

Her boots are my favorite part of her outfit! They are very well made. They Velcro down the back and have tiny buttons on the sides.

My sister promptly removed Addy’s meet hairstyle, so I currently don’t know where her hair ribbons are. 😉

Here is a close-up of the buttons. The boots are pretty easy to get on.

Now let’s take a look at her hair!

I think this scene from Tangled sums up perfectly my thoughts on Addy’s hair. She has a head of knee-length textured hair that is one big pouf when it isn’t styled. 😉 One thing that was disappointing about Addy was her wig. It has a lot of thin spots on the top of her head that are easily visible if her hair is not styled just so. Here are some pics so you can see what I’m talking about:

I’m not sure if all Addy dolls have wigs like this or not… I’d love if anyone with an Addy would tell me in the comments!

As you can see here, her hair is a very pretty brown-black-gray combination.

Now I’ll show you some shots of her face up close.

Unfortunately, my sister has already scratched Addy’s face under her nose- she PLAYS with her dolls. ;}

Addy’s face features:

Addy mold, obviously!

“Pinwheel” brown eyes

Feathered eyebrows

I LOVE LOVE LOVE her little face. She looks very young and sweet. 🙂

Here are some more face shots:

Addy also has non-removable gold hoop earrings:

They seem sturdy enough and add a nice touch to lots of outfits.

I grabbed Ava so I could show you all the differences between the Addy mold and the Classic mold.

As you can see, the biggest differences are the noses and lips. Addy’s nose is wider than Ava’s and her lips are slightly larger.

That sums up the review! Here are some bonus pics of Addy in her meet outfit!

She is seriously so sweet. 🙂

Overall I give her 4.5 out of 5 stars – If it wasn’t for her wig issues, she would get a 5.

Thanks for checking out this (rather long) review!

Have an awesome weekend. 🙂

  1. I know that this is an old post, but I’ve had Addy on and off my wishlist for awhile. How easy is her hair to take care of? I’m getting either her or Maryellen later this month, and I want to know about Addy’s hair before I make the big decision.

    1. Addy is an adorable doll, but her hair is not for the faint of heart! 😉 I would recommend keeping her hair in braids or a bun because there’s just so much of it. If you like to play with doll hair, then she’s a really fun doll. Maryellen would definitely be easier as far as hair care goes, but Addy is really cute. You could always get one of the TM dolls with the Addy mold that has a little less hair, too!
