Recent Photography: Road Trips, Airplanes, Animals and Adventures

Welcome to another installment of Recent Photography, my friends! I’ve been traveling quite a lot lately, so you’ll be seeing a lot of travel-themed photos today. I hope you enjoy them!

I’ll thinkΒ I’ll start off with some photos taken from an airplane. I flew to Texas with my dad and sister last month, and it was so much fun. Flying was probably my favorite part of the trip. πŸ˜€

This was my view out the window of the airplane while we were waiting to take off.

That’s my sister looking out the plane window. We had a lot of fun drawing and listening to music together. I made some summer-themed ATCs for Hayley’s ATC trade during the flight. πŸ˜€

Here’s what it looked like right after we took off.

Parking lots look very strange from above, in my opinion. πŸ˜›

The clouds were so puffy and pretty!

There was a very adorable baby sitting in front of us. He was exclaiming loudly over the amazing view for the entire flight.

When we got off the plane in Texas, we ate in the airport before heading to our hotel. The place where we ate was a sandwich shop called WhichWich, which is coincidentally the same shop that always gets my name wrong whenever we eat there. This time I wrote my name as “Luna Lovegood” just for fun. It was very amusing to hear “Luna?” and then go get my sandwich. XD

I only took a few more photos while we were in Texas. We visited this place called the Water Wall which was basically….. a big wall covered in water. XD It looks cooler than it sounds, trust me. πŸ˜›

It was super loud and very tall.

I had a lot of fun in Texas. πŸ˜€ We also went to Tennessee a few months ago. I took SO. MANY. PHOTOS. I had to majorly narrow them down to the absolute best ones, and there are still some that didn’t make it into this post. Sniff. Anyways, let’s take a look at those now. πŸ™‚

I took a lot of photos of some cities we drove through. I converted most of them to black and white.

I took this picture of myself when we were about 5 hours into the drive and I was slowly dying of boredom and hunger.

In case you’ve been wondering what it looks like in our van (minus my dad, who had driven up ahead of us) on a long road trip, there you go. πŸ˜‚

Pretty Tennessee mountain view. ❀

We had SO much fun in Tennessee. It was rainy most of the trip, which led to some interesting experiences (running through a wet parking lot while holding a sibling, a camera, and an umbrella and getting completely soaked) but I still really enjoyed it. πŸ™‚

I took this on a rainy afternoon while we were driving.

This is an interesting black and white one. It kinda reminds me of something out of an old movie.

Ahh, I love this one! πŸ˜€ We were driving on a rather foggy day when I saw this neat traffic light and snapped a picture of it.

We were going to go to a waterfall while we were there, but due to all the rain, we couldn’t. So instead we went to the Opryland Hotel and explored the amazing indoor gardens and waterfalls. It was really cool!

This was one of the indoor waterfalls. πŸ™‚

We went to Barnes and Noble at some point (I forget when) and I bought a book and this adorable SeverusΒ Snape POP! He was my traveling buddy for the rest of the trip. XD

Near the end of the trip, we visited some friends. It had just rained and they had tiny little snails crawling all over their back porch!

Aren’t they cute?

Okay, we’re done with the travel photos. πŸ˜€ Now I’ll show you some pictures I got of an old abandoned theater in a town near my house.

It was kinda spooky but really neat!

Me and my sister’s shadows. πŸ™‚

The sunset was quite pretty that night!

Speaking of sunsets….

There was an absolutely gorgeous one the other night when we were in town! I took some pictures of it when my dad pulled over on the side of the road.

Alright, now for a few photos taken at my house. πŸ™‚

I take Maude to play in the hayfield every night, and she loves to roll in the grass and run around at top speed.

Haha, I love this picture. XD

“Come on, human, would you stop taking pictures and play with me already?”

Wanna hear something funny? Okay, so every evening when I take Maude in the hayfield, I fall into very deep thought while I walk and am totally unaware of my surroundings. The other day I was walking in the hayfield, lost in thought, and then a little flock of birds exploded out of nowhere right in front of me! I must have jumped a foot in the air. And another time I was walking and I unknowingly stepped on the end of a branch, and the other end flew up into the air and I thought it was a snake. I may have yelled. XD I’ve been scared by rabbits and squirrels and lizards and such so many times.Β πŸ˜‚

Whew, we’re almost done! If you’ve made it this far, I congratulate you. πŸ˜€ There was a cute little praying mantis on our window the other day and I took a few photos of him.

Thus concludes today’s post. πŸ™‚ I really hope you enjoyed looking through my pictures!

Where have you been traveling to lately? Have you ever flown on an airplane? Which photo was your favorite?

  2. I love those airplane photos! the only time i went on an airplane, I was really little and we were going to germany. I sat with my siblings in the middle, and din’t get a single glance out the window. so my airplane memories are restricted to curious gorge coloring books, sick siblings, being sick myself, and watching kung fu panda. random, i know. πŸ˜›
wow, your car is more crowded with kids, but we have a huuuuuge van, but we’re still always more crowded with stuff. XD so much stuff, its rediculas.

  3. That trip looked like fun! Was it your first time on an airplane? I’ve always loved to go on airplanes… I have never thought of listening to music on one, though. I should try that next time… I loved ALL the pictures! And, wow, I never realized how many siblings you have! I have five siblings. πŸ™‚

AHHHH I LOVE THESE PHOTOS THEY ARE SO PRETTY! πŸ˜€
Ooh, flying sounds like so much fun! I’ve only been on an airplane when I was too little to remember. The pictures of the clouds from the plane are amazing, and that baby IS adorable. πŸ™‚
WhichWich is great! Heh heh, that’s pretty funny. Did they pronounce your name right that time? πŸ˜›
I really like the B&W picture of you in the car mirror, dying of boredom and hunger. XD Okay, that sounds TERRIBLE, but now at least you know which one I mean…
I also like the picture of the traffic through the rainy windshield (because bokeh), and the one of the lone traffic light. That almost seems like a writing prompt or something… sort of?
Aww, Maude is so cute and pretty! I love how light her fur is.
Hey, now that wasn’t so bad! Not nearly as long as some comments I’ve written. XD Hee hee. Anyway, I loved this post, Clara!

  12. Wow, amazing shots! I loved scrolling through and admiring all your photos! I’ve not really traveled anywhere this summer, and I’ve actually never been on an airplane before. My favorite photos were the ones from the airplane and the black-and-white Tennessee ones. ❀

  13. I love these pictures! Heheh, I probably would be to shy to put up a fake name. XD I have now officially rode on an airplane 12 times! We went to China, had five days off, went to the East Coast, back home 2 days ago, and now we may or may not be galloping off to The Great Wolf Lodge due to the smog from Canada’s fire. 😱
