Hooray, it’s time for a recent photography post! 😀 I know that I did one less than two months ago, but I’ve been taking so many photos that I’ve got to post some or I’ll never catch up! To avoid writing enormously long posts, I’ve been trying to narrow down my photos to my absolute favorites. Once you’ve finished reading, I’d love if you’d tell me in the comments below what you thought of the post length! I’m looking forward to hearing your opinions. 🙂
Enjoy the pictures!
We took a short trip to Florida earlier this week, and it was SO much fun to visit the beach! The ocean is so beautiful. ❤
Here’s a picture of me looking stoically out at the ocean while thinking deep thoughts. Since this was a rather impromptu beach trip, we didn’t bring swimsuits or sunscreen, so what you can’t see in this photo is my rolled-up jeans and the amazing sunburn on the back of my neck. Ah, good times. XD
There were some pretty enormous waves because of Hurricane Florence. I pray that all of you in the path of the hurricane are staying safe! ❤
I love the beach so much! The painful sunburns and sandy, wet jeans were definitely worth it. 😛 I can’t wait to go back sometime very soon! Do you enjoy visiting the beach, and if so, what’s your favorite thing to do there?
We went to the Decatur Book Festival at the beginning of the month, and it was definitely one of the highlights of 2018 for me!! It was so much fun to be surrounded by books and book lovers and even MORE fun to meet one of my favorite authors, Jeanne Birdsall. 😀
There were several different people playing music inside of the festival, which was super neat!
Isn’t this sign so cool? My Hogwarts letter hasn’t come yet, but I haven’t given up hope. *stares wistfully out the window*
Along with Jeanne Birdsall, I also met/saw Laurel Snyder (Orphan Island), Adam Gidwitz (The Inquisitor’s Tale), and Annie Barrows (Ivy and Bean). It was such a wonderful day that I won’t be forgetting any time soon. 😀
Have you ever been to a book festival or met an author that you admire? If not, who is an author that you would love to meet?
Along with visiting the beach in Florida, we also went to Fort Clinch State Park on Amelia Island. The fort itself was used during the Civil War, and it was AMAZING to see. The whole thing was open to visitors, so we got to explore the whole inside and outside of the fort. It seriously felt like stepping back in time – it was such a neat experience!
The view from the top of the fort was so beautiful! ❤
What’s your favorite historical monument to visit? Have you ever been to Fort Clinch? Which of these photos was your favorite?
Now for some adorable animals! 😀 This cute pup looks like she’s smiling for the camera.
Maude turned seven last month, and we had a lot of fun celebrating. She wasn’t too pleased about wearing a party hat, but she did love the dog-friendly cake that I baked for her and the bones and tennis balls we gave her as gifts. XD
Ember’s birthday was at the beginning of September – I can’t believe it’s already been two years since we found her at the dump! She’s such a friendly and playful cat. 🙂
Her face in this photo is hilarious. XD I think she was trying to reach her favorite toy pom-pom from where it rolled under a board.
The pom-pom was successfully rescued!
Runty is an extremely adorable cat with a very unfortunate name. My sister and I weren’t exactly great with names at ages six and seven. 😛
AND NOW FOR THE BUNNIES. *dramatic music* I put these glasses on Button and he just sat there and let me photograph him. I think this is my new favorite bunny photo. XD
Bunny in a box.
Bunny in a hat.
I love having bunnies – they’re so chubby and adorable! Do you have any pets, and if so, what are their names? Which animal photo was your favorite?
There have been so many spiders spinning webs around our house recently! I would say that I walk into an average of 4-5 webs per day. Our yard is not for the faint of heart. 😛
Abram found this poor butterfly and offered to hold it for a photo.
Here’s my mom at a movie theater in Florida. The remaining photos were all taken in or around that same theater. 🙂
*sad sigh* This photo reminds me… my succulent Newt died. 😦 *sniff* I don’t know what I did wrong, but I’m pretty sad that I somehow killed him. Poor little guy. At least I still have Edison and Florence! Edison has grown so big that I had to transplant him into a bigger pot, so hopefully he’ll survive. 🙂
Have you ever killed a plant? If you haven’t, do you have any tips for me? Which random photo was your favorite/least favorite?
Yay, you made it to the end! Thanks for taking the time to look at my pictures – I hope you enjoyed them. 😀 I’d love to hear your answers to all of the questions that I asked in the comments below!
Was this post too short, too long, or just right? Which of these photos was your favorite?
