Recent Photography | Summer Adventures

Hello, humans of the internet! *waves* Happy Monday, I hope your week is going wonderfully so far!

Today’s post will be a random assortment of photos taken over the course of the summer, all of which I just haven’t gotten around to sharing until now. I hope you enjoy them! 🙂

Here’s Ember, watching the sunset and thinking about whatever cats think about.

STARS! ❤ We’ve had a lot of cloudy nights this summer, so when we finally had a clear night, I ran outside with my camera to capture the gorgeousness. Can you see the shooting star in this one? (If you can only see a few stars in this picture, try turning up the brightness of your screen.) 😀

I used a flashlight to light up the foreground of this photo, and it actually worked pretty well! I would love to try this method again on a night when the entire mosquito population isn’t trying to eat me. *nod*

Random pretty sunset from a recent road trip. 🙂

More farmland, from a different road trip – there was a storm in the distance and the light was so strange. 0_0

Let’s ignore the fact that Independence Day was over a month ago. 😀 To celebrate, we sat in camp chairs on a random dirt road while a storm blew in, watching fireworks and eating popsicles while my mom played patriotic music from her phone that could barely be heard over the wind. A bit different, but a great memory. 🙂

Hopefully you don’t mind black-and-white photos, because I just realized that the rest of this post is colorless. XD What can I say, I love editing that way!

Ezra. ❤ I really need to practice my portrait photography, but I’m pretty happy with how I was able to capture his real smile in these photos – he tends to have a very strange fake smile whenever a camera is pointed at him. XD

He allowed me to take photos of him under the condition that his raccoon got a photo too. 😀

Continuing my obsession with trying to capture Ezra’s adorableness, here he is practicing his reading with my mom. 🙂

Hehe, here’s something different. XD We went to a Smalltown Poets concert a few weeks back, and it was a very fun opportunity to practice low-light photography. 😀

Does anyone else think that shoes are a very underrated photography subject?

We shall end with two random things – here’s one of our many cats, Ninja.

Finally, here’s Maudey saying hello to fill your daily cuteness meter. You’re welcome. 😀

Thanks SO much for reading my post! Before you go, I’d love to hear your opinion on a future post idea:

That’s all for today – farewell! *waves*

Which photo was your favorite?

  1. HAHA MAUD. Ooh, I loved these, Clara! I always enjoy all your photography. And eeep yes, I love black and white too! You’d never guess, but I do. XD Maybe it’s because of all the black and white movies I watch, or the fact that it’s nice and dramatic.

  2. Wow, you’re so good at photography, Clara!!! I personally like the black & white filter, as well. I use it a lot when I take photos of people. 😄 Oh, and Ezra is so cute!!! Too adorable!

  3. Your posts make me so happy. 😄 I loooove your photography because it’s quite interesting and varied (among other reasons). Also, I think you take beautiful portraits! Black and white definitely lends a sense of importance or value to the photo, I think. My favorites were the first star photo. (jaw drops), and the ones of Ezra and your mom. 💕 Well, and the pets, of course. 😉
