Hello, everyone! It’s been a while—what’s up? I hope you’re all having an excellent December so far. WHERE DID THIS YEAR GO? I’m still mentally stuck at the end of summer. Help. XD
I haven’t done one of these posts in ages, so if you aren’t familiar with them, my random posts are where I just share pretty much anything and everything that I please. 😀 Onward!
1. midnight mind
First order of business: I started a new blog!! Clara & Co. isn’t going anywhere—I know it’s been a while, but I’ll eventually get back to posting regularly on here. In the meantime… BEHOLD:
I created this as a place to share my writing, from short stories to book snippets to poetry. I’m not really trying to grow a big audience or anything, but if you’ve enjoyed the writing I’ve shared on here in past months, then feel free to check it out. 🙂
2. envelope art
I’ve gotten into the habit of taking photos of my letters before I mail them, so here’s some of my recent envelope art:
Which of those envelopes is your favorite? To any pen pals reading this, I HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN ABOUT YOU. Your wonderful letters are currently in a colorful yet precarious pile on my desk, and I shall eventually reply to them all. Thanks for putting up with me. 😀
Despite the fact that I’m a stalker and tend to avoid commenting on blogs, I love reading everyone’s posts. They’re often the highlight of my day. 🙂 Here are several wonderful things happening around the blogosphere at the moment:
My friend Madi started a new personal blog, and it’s full of teal and pink and pretty pictures and general wonderfulness! CLICK HERE, follow her, you won’t regret it. 😀
Aria got engaged!! SUCH EXCITINGNESS. Go congratulate her and see her absolutely stunning engagement photos while you’re at it!
Megan’s Etsy shop Peach & Poppy Co. is one of the greatest things ever and an excellent resource for pen pals—she’s been working hard and has released some amazing new kits in the past months! The most recent is a beautiful Christmas kit that would make a perfect gift for any letter-writers in your life. Go check it out! And follow her business Instagram while you’re at it, because she posts a lot of excellent envelope art inspiration. *nod*
Jo left us hanging with another amazing piece of writing that you should go read if you enjoy suffering. That is all. 😀
This excellent post from one of my favorite blogs perfectly sums up my thoughts on the end of the year. ^ And yes, maybe it was unnecessary work to create all of those laptop photos, but it was fun. 😀
What’s your current favorite blog to read? Do you know of any excellent blogs that I should be following?
So, I recently got the opportunity to meet two people that I’ve been hoping to meet for a long time now! The first was my friend Madi, and the second was one of my favorite authors, Shannon Messenger. *bounces joyfully* I have photographic proof of both, so I shall now present it to you. *ahem*
Here’s Laura and I with Madi!! We completely forgot to take photos, so I stole this one from my younger brother’s camera, hence the unfortunate photo quality and my even more unfortunate facial expression. That was such a wonderful day!! ❤ Guys, if you ever get the opportunity to meet an online friend, DO IT. Even if you’re terrified – I certainly was. XD
SHANNON MESSENGER! *squeaks* All of those humans actually have quite nice faces, ignore my sad smiley-drawing skills. Also, I’m not sure why I covered Laura’s face. *thoughtful look* Anyway, THAT WAS A GREAT DAY. Shannon Messenger is an incredible author. 😀
Have you ever met an online friend or an author you admire? Have you read Shannon Messenger’s books?
I haven’t touched my camera in ages. 😦 *gazes longingly at Ellington* Here are some photos of a beautiful full moon from last month, I believe.
Ahh, isn’t that so pretty? The rest of these photos were taken on my phone – I obviously much prefer dSLR photography, but it’s kind of a fun challenge to use a lower-quality camera sometimes. 🙂
Favorite/least favorite photos? Do you prefer dSLR or phone photography?
6. questions for you
Yes, I’ve been asking questions throughout the post, but here’s more. XD I genuinely love talking with you guys, so feel free to talk to your heart’s content in the comments about whatever you wish. Here are some conversation starters – I can’t wait to hear from you. 🙂
- highlight of your day today?
- what last made you laugh?
- last movie you watched?
- what are your thoughts on the approach of the new year?
- favorite Christmas song?
- what are you looking forward to at the moment?
- summer or winter? why?
- favorite song at the moment?
Well, there you are – a post of randomness with no specific direction or purpose! Hurrah. 😀 Thanks for reading, as always! I shall return at some unspecified point in the future. *salutes*
Until next time,
